What you’ll do
Prepare to join an established, fast-growing organization that delivers background screening services, software and training to the faith-based markets. The company has experienced double-digit growth annually over the past 13 years and is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to join our team as we continue to expand.
As a sales development representative, you will be provided the training and resources necessary to be successful, including advanced phone technology, extensive contact sales databases, pricing strategies, and industry services training by our seasoned staff. The right candidate must be well-spoken, have a good attitude, a strong work ethic and a desire to achieve. They must also have experience managing existing partner relationships as well as a Hunter’s” mentality for bringing in and developing new partners. The Sales Development Representative position is a salary plus commission and bonus position.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-qualifying prospects seeking solutions to reach their internal goals.
- Employing good follow up and management practices to provide exceptional prospect/client service.
- Assess the true needs of the seeking prospect in preparation for the demonstration, along with the appropriate personnel (prospect) that will influence or make the final decision.
- Communicate with new account sign-ups, requesting additional documentation or information as needed.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the integration process and stay up-to-date with ongoing product and processing updates.
- Assist in maintaining and entering all prospects and new sales information into the applicable CRM.
- Respond to customer questions and concerns during the account integration process.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge and be an industry expert within the faith market.
- Performs other job-related tasks, as assigned by Sales Management.
Who you are
- 1-3 years Inside Sales and/or Customer Success/Support experience in a fast-paced Telesales environment.
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet goals.
- Articulate, confident, driven professional with the ability to work with like-minded professionals in a results-oriented, fast-paced and growing environment.
- Ability to quickly build rapport and “connect” with new prospects.
- Demonstrate sales ability, assertive, persistent, good listening skills, dedication & ability to work independently.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal partners.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent sales experience.
Preferred Skills & Requirements:
- Must have excellent customer service, time management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of sales processes and techniques.
- Must have strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Must have successful closing skills and the ability to solve practical problems.
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite of Applications; experience utilizing CRM tools.
- Must possess excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work autonomously with little guidance from management.
- Must be able to work under pressure to meet inflexible deadlines while maintaining composure.
- Must be able to occasionally work nights and/or weekends to meet deadlines or support customers.
- Experience in the payment processing industry or church/nonprofit sector preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent sales experience.
- 1-3 years Inside Sales and/or Customer Success/Support experience in a fast-paced Telesales environment
