Job Description

We need a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer (Developer) to help Myriad Genetics, Inc. deliver innovative products that allow patients to make life-changing decisions. Our genetic screening and testing help to provide actionable insights to empower people to make critical and timely healthcare decisions by using molecular diagnostic tests for hereditary cancer, urological cancer, depression, and other diseases. We are excited about the future and remain committed to advancing the science of personalized medicine as we develop more products to address unmet medical needs.

We are seeking talented and dedicatedEngineers to build rich client experiences that will help people make life-changing decisions with their health. As an Engineer at Myriad, you’ll work closely with both software engineers and product designers to build engaging and performant user experiences. You will take ownership of entire features or product initiatives from conception to release and beyond. The ideal candidate will have command over modern tools including ES6, React, CSS in JS, and Webpack, have strong understanding of product development and the motivation to continually iterate design to be the best possible solution. This is a unique opportunity to design intuitive, consumer-facing interactions that impact the way people view their overall health.

This is a REMOTE – WORK FROM HOME (US only) position with flex-work as an option if you are near a Myriad location.

• Help us craft, test, and implement a beautiful, intuitive presentation layer

ABOUT YOU

• Real passion for crafting efficient, scalable UI interfaces
• Master level experience with React, Redux, ES6
• Excellent knowledge of responsive design techniques
• Ability to write clean, scalable, and reusable code
• Have confirmed knowledge of front-end optimization, performance techniques and solving cross-browser compatibility issues
• Understand and appreciate object-oriented programming concepts
• Understand how to efficiently work with backend engineers to design, build, and test reusable REST APIs
• Know that it’s not done until it’s tested
• Stay self-motivated, humble and driven

EXPERIENCE

• Strong command over modern tools including ES6, React, CSS in JS, Jest, Webpack
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical experience
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience Full-stack (we use Python)
• Working experience with Django or other frameworks (we use Django)
• Working knowledge of version control systems (we use Git)
• Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
