Position details:

The Senior Graphic Designer will work closely with the Creative Director and will be involved in all aspects of the design processfrom project planning, conceptualizing through design production. This position will be responsible for creating a wide range of graphic assets all while upholding brand standards and guidelines. Primary duties will be split between design strategy, project management and deliverable development. Deliverables will include but are not limited to: campaign collateral and ad-hoc digital and print assets such as social media imagery, display ads, landing pages, video assets, and more. The Senior Graphic Designer will sometimes influence the work of one mid-level designer and outside design resources as needed. The Senior Graphic Designer works closely with all members of the creative team to develop effective, smart, and award-winning work.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cohesive brand identity with established standards across all mediums; push the brand forward and continue to evolve it over time
  • Conceptualize, design, and art direct print and digital executions
  • Design print materials including trade show booths, direct mail, and marketing collateral such as handouts, white paper booklets, and more
  • Design digital materials including social media assets, display advertising, landing pages, eBooks, and website graphics
  • Design and develop sales materials and presentations with efficiency and fast turn-around times
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to develop campaign ideas and visuals
  • Provide art samples or present proofs at internal brainstorming and planning sessions
  • Implement problem solving skills in print and digital settings
  • Review designs for accuracy before printing or publishing them
  • Maintain and follow consistent server organization and file naming conventions of existing structure and process
  • Manage multiple projects at one time and exhibit a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism on projects from team members, outside departments, and leadership
  • Oversee the work and guide Production Artists through projects
  • Maintain design library of materials for easy team access
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in design, advertising or fine arts, or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five + years of related experience in graphic design and marketing; agency background a plus
  • Proven portfolio
  • Knowledge of design principles; graphic design, layout, typography, print, color, and ability to translate corporate identity into effective marketing materials
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Familiar with both Mac and PC platforms
  • Video production and animation experience a plus

Preferred:

  • Experience marketing to the healthcare community
  • Understanding of Basecamp (project management software), Salesforce, Sharepoint, marketing automation software, social media channels, and CMS platforms
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Basic knowledge of After Effects
  • Skilled in photography
