• Led technical effort to increase adoption of design tokens across all UI teams at Fastly, which now forms a core part of the design systems architecture.
• Active contributor and maintainer to projects built using React, Gatsby, Styled Components, Vanilla Extract, Node and Style Dictionary.
• Presented an overview of my team’s component library at an internal summit and chaired the following discussion to strengthen our presence within the wider org.

• Took ownership of the front end of the product, playing a key role in the delivery of features such as the user dashboard and payments. Using React, Redux and Styled Components.
• Ensured code quality, accessibility and performance were consistently good through regular learning, mentoring and peer review.
• Led the development of a design system with complicated theming requirements to support the white label product. Built with React, Styled Components and Storybook.
• Spearheading the creation of an Engineering Progression Framework to support scaling the engineering team through interviewing colleagues, research and internal presentations

• Delivered a broad range of projects to SME clients with a focus on performance and web animation. Utilizing technologies like React, Tailwind, GSAP and CraftCMS.

• Performed a major rewrite of a critical "Search Lookup" component to increase performance, accessibility and developer experience. Has since been used in a key part of BBC's Coronavirus coverage, used by more than 250m users.
• Worked on interactive web content for high profile news items such as the 2016 US election, UK general and local elections- users of which numbered in millions
• Delivered a range of self-contained interactive web apps such as calculators, maps and data explorers. Using technologies such as D3, SVG, React, AWS Lambda, Node.js, Sass.

• Mentoring folks through an 8-week programme to improve their software engineering skills and boost their chances of professional success to address the racial inequity of the tech industry.
• Act as Tech Lead for internal projects, where a small team of engineering mentees report to me as part of their capstone project.

• Qualified as a Mental Health First Aider to equip me with skills to effectively deal with mental health incidents and advocate for mental wellbeing in the workplace.

To capitalise on existing design and development skills, took the leap to study with Thinkful. Working through projects in HTML, JS and Node that solidified knowledge of production-ready code, testing and version control.

Graduated with a 2:1, this degree was assessed through essays, presentations, performance and recorded materials. Performed best in Sonic Art and Improvisation modules.
