In this contract role, I am part of the Fares Technology team. I ensure that riders have a seamless digital experience when purchasing and managing their fares. My latest project, Income-Eligible Reduced Fares, provides an easy and accessible application for low-income riders to get 50% off all rides on the MBTA. This entailed qualitative and quantitative research, prototyping, mentoring another designer, and a healthy dose of cross-discipline collaboration.
At Curology, I was a Product Designer on the Retention team. My main focus was improving UX within the first 90 days of a user’s Curology experience. My role required producing detailed UI mockups, visual design, high-fidelity prototyping, unmoderated user research, usability studies and managing stakeholder expectations. My major project was rolling out “Custom Formula prescription change”, a prompt that allows users to request a different prescription if they have new skin goals.
I was a UX team of one at Cultural Care Au Pair in the marketing technology team (Martech). My responsibilities entailed moderated user research, detailed UI mockups, visual design, high-fidelity prototyping, usability studies, and supporting the implementation process. I designed with a global mindset as our product was seen and used in 26 countries with markets in Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
As a UX Designer on the internal technology team, my users were fellow staff members and investment managers. It was a generalist role where I was responsible for designing applications to automate urgent daily tasks. A typical day would include gathering business requirements, rapidly prototyping, creating UI elements, and supporting the development process.
This was a 6-month full-time co-op. I learned the fundamentals of working in an agile development team. I gained skills in SASS, Git, and PHP which I used when designing and deploying themes on content management systems like Drupal and WordPress.
