Working at one of Singapore’s pioneer hospitals, Tan Tock Seng Hospital since 2014, has sculpted me to become an independent and capable person. As a nurse, I take my job seriously and perform tasks passionately and diligently to the best of the patient’s care. Over the years, my job has allowed me to do multiple tasks promptly on a daily basis. Being energetic uplifts the mood of the working environment when it gets gloomy. My kind and friendly nature makes my patients and colleagues to be fond of and caring towards me. New nurses love to approach me for knowledge and clinical guidance as they mentioned that I am easy-going and approachable. Managers depend on me when it comes to patients’ satisfaction survey and conducting activities for the wellbeing of staffs to promote work-life balance.

Work Experience

Tan Tock Seng Hospital

Registered nurse

May, 2014 - Current

I work in Medical Ambulatory Centre(MAC); a department where patients receive brief treatments such as Blood transfusions and chemotherapies. MAC also does bedside procedures such as biopsies for investigations to rule out malignant mass in the body. In addition to providing short-term care, we also provide nursing for acutely sick patients from General Surgery or Orthopaedics department.

The range of treatments has made me to become a very flexible nurse who can perform both interchangeably.

  • I am MAC’s Patient Ambassador. Clinched 1st place among Ambulatory departments in Patient Satisfaction Survey in 2016
