Heartbeat Labs is an entrepreneurial platform and company builder with a focus on highly regulated industries. During my time at Heartbeat Labs it was my job to identify and invest in promising early-stage ventures and entrepreneurs that target the disruption of B2B processes in healthcare. The most important project I completed, was a high 7-digit investment in CareSyntax - a leading medical technology and services platform that helps hospitals reduce surgical risk and improve outcomes.
Homebell was a fast-growing startup, backed by top tier VC-firms (i.e. Lakestar, Index Ventures, Global Founders Capital, Picus). We built a vertically-integrated fit-out & refurbishment construction firm trying to increase efficiency in an old-fashioned and low-digitized market. It was my job to establish sales and procurement partnerships with insurances, wholesaler and manufacturer to bring down sales and procurement costs and increase our conversion rates by broadening our product portfolio. My greatest accomplishment during this time was the securing of a mid 7-digit investment by the insurance corporate Axa and the setup of a sales-partnership with them.
Zipjet is Europe's leading urban delivery service for fashion and dry-cleaning services with locations in London, Paris and Berlin. It was my job to manage the local operations at the Berlin office, including the driver fleet, customer service, partner management and B2B sales - a total team of 45 people (30 drivers, 15 office workers). My greatest accomplishment was to reach operational profitability. The main reason we achieved that is by building and committing a close team of dedicated drivers as well as building close relationships to our local dry-cleaning partners.
