Starting when I was 14 I helped at a farm. At first working 2-3 days a week and then eventually turning into full time working around my school during the school season. I learned basic farming, mechanical, and construction skills as we fixed and repaired almost everything for ourselves. I also learned how to operate many kinds of heavy equipment, semis and tractors. The most important skill I believe however would be the skill to work hard and diligently as we had to work around weather and sometimes very long hours to get what needed to be done, accomplished.
