Jonathan Clark Green is a longtime Illinois legal professional who has held responsibilities with the City of Chicago as an attorney for more than 15 years. Presently working in the Department of Law’s Federal Civil Rights Litigation Division, Jonathan Clark Green has presented and defended extensively within state and federal court settings. Seeing numerous trials to verdict, he has arranged expert testimony in areas such as forensic pathology, latent prints, ballistics, and medicine.
Mr. Green is also active in the Chicago political arena and is running as a Democrat for the position of Judge of the Circuit COurt of Cook County, 8th Judicial Subcircuit. He has brought numerous leaders together as part of a “Committee to Elect,” including the 5th Congressional District Congressman and the Illinois State Senate president, as well as former judges, justices, and a Cook County commissioner. Elections for this civic position are set to be held in March 2020.
Mr. Green’s past private practice experience includes serving as of counsel to Rock, Fusco & Garvey, Ltd., and guiding Green & Green, PC. Having served with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General as assistant attorney general, he has represented state employees and handled complex litigation matters, including defending the constitutionality of state statutes.
