John Woosley

I coordinate with the lead pastor on the day to day operations of the church. I communicate with ministry leaders to encourage them and ensure that have what they need to properly operate. I am working to streamline the Sunday operation of our portable church and am helping the lead pastor to locate a permanent meeting space. I provide pastoral counseling to those in the church family who seek such help.

During my time at Liberty University, I have been responsible for coordinating with all university departments concerning special events as well as supervising a crew of 20 -30 men. Our job consists of setting up and breaking down for all major university events and making deliveries from the university's central receiving to all areas of campus. Events we support include the university's yearly graduation ceremony, which is attended by over 35,000 guests and graduates. I've also supported hundreds of major concerts and convocations.

• This job has improved many aspects of my professional life, including problem solving, conflict resolution, multitasking, and being able manage a large team.

In 2002, I moved to a metropolitan area of Phoenix, Arizona to plant a church and reach the fast-growing community that resides there. Throughout the 6 years of pastoring there, I was able to lead the growth of the church to around 175 in attendance. In addition, we were able to start a youth ministry that became extremely influential in the Phoenix area.

• I was able to see and experience what it was like to grow a church from the ground up and experience the highs and lows that come with the adventure of planting a church.

Worked on the pastoral staff of the church as well as in the administration of the academy. For my final 4 years, I was the co-pastor of the 1000-member congregation and head administrator of the 400-student academy.

• Helped the school grow from a 170 student self-paced school to a 400 student traditional school. Oversaw a church/academy staff of over 50 employees. Was church liaison to the general contractor for a 2.5 million dollar building project in 1996.

Earned a Masters Degree in Theological Studies with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling. The courses I most enjoyed were Integration of Psychology and Theology and Crisis Intervention Pastoral Counseling.

Lifeline is a ministry that gives council to careseekers in the midst of crisis. I have been able to spend the last four years ministering to individuals and couples that need encouragement through various struggles in their life.

Served on the board as the church was founded and developed over the first 18 months.
