Wingify is a bootstrapped startup whose primary product is a marketing tool known as Visual Website Optimiser (http://vwo.com). I was hired to create and run a product known as Vegfru (http://vegfru.com). Vegfru is a B2B trading platform for Fruits and Vegetables and its associated services.

My responsibilities included:

  • Creating the Roadmap and the Business Plan for the product and identifying
  • Creating in-depth Requirement Documents and Wireframes for the website
  • Outsourcing Development and Design by Identifying suitable Vendors and taking complete ownership and responsibility for delivery
  • Creating in built SEO capabilities to maximise organic traffic. Techniques used were Long Tail SEO,

  • Handle all development and digital marketing requirements
  • Oversaw the development & design for both iPhone and Android applications for the website. The application interface, flow, best coding practices
  • Run various marketing campaign such as CPC/T/L. Initiated dynamic re-marketing for both display and Facebook. We were one of the first companies in India to work on the twitter advertising platform. Planned and optimized twitter campaigns to optimize reach and generate revenue. Ran Facebook campaigns such as Custom Audience, Newsfeed and more.
  • Integrated cheaper and more efficient emailing solutions and acquired databases to expand reach.
  • Sourced products for the website in the Home Décor department. Coordinated with 200 odd vendors pan India to get their products on the website. Worked with vendors on curating sales in accordance with seasonal and situational events/sales.
  • Carried out complete seamless MWS API integration with Amazon seller central India. Integrated the backend of the Designdeal web app so as to enable 1 click upload of products onto seller central. Have a complete understanding of the entire Amazon seller central console, which includes inventory & order management. Oversaw promotions, customer interactions, reports both performances based and financial and tracked performance regularly. This entire exercise eventually resulted in a 20% increase in direct revenue. Also integrated with Snapdeal & Flipkart
  • Carried out regular data mining and analytical practices using tools built into the system and external tools such as RJmetrics/KISSmetrics/Google Analytics.
  • Optimized website performance by increasing load times, fixing database/code related bottlenecks, improving layout by carrying A/B positional and design related testing. Heat maps/scroll maps/ tag management
  • Initiated buyer profile management so as to track website related activity and form target groups to initiate focused campaigning in terms of product and events. This is currently in progress.
