The purpose of this training was to provide clear understanding of the team manager role through the formation of a holistic picture of the functions and responsibilities of manager.
From this learning I got:
The course is aimed at developing managerial skills in the formation of a coherent and effective team, at developing skills for facilitating, coaching conversations, and making unpopular decisions.
Apart from my regular job I want to present you myself as an experienced and qualified entrepreneur, manager and a team leader with the hands on experience. I do my best at work as a creative director to develop my team but I have more practice in management, business development and leadership outside work.
During last 3 years I launched 2 successful business projects.
First is “okidog is Minsk city initiative for dog owners that changes the city and make it more comfortable for dogs, dog owners and regular people. It started as a startup aimed to motivate people to clean up after their dogs. But in just one year the project developed in full-fledged social enterprise and was financially supported by worldwide pet nutrition brand - Purina. So far, we are the partners for more than 3 years.
Regarding the okidog team. In 3 year it developed from 3 people to 18. And none of those who was at the start didn’t leave the team. We all are still together and change Minsk for the better not only dogs and dog owner but for the all citizens.
You can check okidog project here - okidog.social and here https://www.facebook.com/OkiDogMinsk/
The second business project I want you to tell about is okidog Academy. It is online video training courses that help to teach the dog basic commands by yourself with the help of professional trainer. It’s commercial IT project that was created from the scratch. A tremendous amount of work was done.
There is no any analogues of such courses on CIS and western market. At first we found a professional dog trainer with unique extremely effective methodology, scrutinized it, turned it into well-comprehended training manual - 7 lessons for basic commands and 4 lessons for the tricks. It meant creation of huge amount of video content and development of e-commerce web site (development of learning process structure, UX&UI, web site structure, etc.).
All was good but okidog team was not enough to bring such huge project to live so we needed to create the team that can deliver all thing in short notice. We found ones of the best screenwriter, video team and developers and delivered whole project in 3 months (from zero to full launch). My role on this project was the project and vision owner and product manager.
Besides the fact that okidog Academy is an independent commercial project, it was created in partnership and sponsored by Purina on order to promote new Pro Plan biscuits for dogs. So, in addition to successful sales we helped Purina to increase the brand awareness up to 60% on Belarusian market.
okidog Academy still runs successfully you can check it on www.okidogacademy.com and view the case study here https://vimeo.com/341114695/a6619ae1b4.
