• Generation and recommendation of business/investment opportunities for the CBU as a result of the revision of operations/projects information and site visits, from a network of contacts in Junior to Senior Mining Companies in Chile, Peru Bolivia and Argentina. CA, Data Room revision, SWOT analysis and preliminary economic valuations (NPV, IRR) with the interaction of the metallurgy, mining, finance and marketing, land and legal departments. This exercise resulted in the acquisition of the Lomas Bayas copper mine (currently 100% Glencore) in Chile
• Mine Geologist supporting short-term production at Lomas Bayas: blast hole logging, ore tagging, bench wall mapping of geotechnical parameters, hydrothermal alteration, lithology and mineralisation
• QAQC protocol definition including first and secondary laboratory determination and its implementation for 10,000 m of DDH in a copper – molybdenum porphyry project. Writing of the QAQC report compliant with NI43-101. Training of field technicians and monitoring laboratory activities
• Research, data base storage, compilation and analysis of mineral economic information from a variety of sources, to produce business cases and property reports to identify minimum tonnage and grade conditions for exploration, preliminary economic evaluations, scoping studies and preparation of presentations and reports for Chile investment promotion within the company
