The project was carried out in-conjunction with MIRA, Nuneaton. NPD processes such as PDS, concept generation and selection, FAST diagram, QFD, risk analysis, problem identification, BOM, DFMA, Costing, FMEA, FEA, and product validations were performed. Concept generation and analysis were carried using computer simulation packages such as CATIA V5 and Hyper mesh was used to save time and improve the product design.

2009 - 2010

The project involved working on a vehicle simulation by the use of STAR CCM + CFD. Additionally, it involved working on fluid flow governing equations with justified assumptions to solve an aerodynamic problem and to analyze meaningful data from the CFD simulation. Also, it included understanding the capability of the computer by generating mesh with minimum size. All of these tasks were carried out inside a virtual wind tunnel by performing CFD simulation.
