After graduating from GMU, I was an intern at PBS and involved in writing and editing projects, curating news and research materials, and making daily updates to the PBS homepage. This 14-week course taught me the essential principles, concepts, and skills of UX design. The requirement to complete the course was a final project either redesigning an online or mobile experience, or creating a new one. The final deliverables for this project included KPIs, interviews, personas, user flow maps, card sorting, a sitemap, several hand sketches, and digital wireframes.
This 10-week course (every Saturday, from 10AM-5PM) immersed me in the basic application of of HTML5, CSS, and Javascript. As a final project, I designed and built a sample website from scratch, implementing what I learned.
