The Art Dump is the name Andy Jenkins tagged the team of like-minded creative misfits who worked under the same flat roof in Torrance, California. Functioning as a co-op, each artist brought their own unique, individual vision in a variety of mediums. The Dump’s list of collaborative projects include impressive brands; Sonos, Beats, Adobe, Oakley, Levis and more.
Oakley approached The Art Dump, the creative team at Girl Skateboards, to create an immersive hybrid art space, showroom, community workspace and heavily branded skatepark. The inspiration for the project was highlighting eight seminal and historically relevant Los Angeles skate spots. The one month project involved creating unique assets around the concept to engage the space, a massive mural, and various events and workshops.
