Elise Ogle is Director of Content at Limbix, a digital therapeutics company whose mission is to increase access to mental health treatment for teens using technology. Elise directs content strategy for Limbix SparkRx, a digital therapeutic designed to treat symptoms of adolescent depression. Limbix SparkRx is a multi-week, cognitive behavioral therapy based program that teaches teens skills like mood tracking, activity scheduling, problem solving, and mindfulness.

Empathy at Scale | Becoming Homeless

Authored script and performed 3D modeling for a 15-min VR simulation in which someone experiences becoming homeless from the first-person perspective. Worked with leading empathy researchers to conduct an unprecedented study (Empathy at Scale) measuring the effect of the VR experience on empathy towards the homeless with a study population greater than 500 people. Premiered a post-study version of the experience (Becoming Homeless) at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017.

The Stanford Ocean Acidification Experience

Developed the storyboard for a short VR ‘field trip’ designed to teach about ocean acidification, which premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival. Worked with an interdisciplinary group of Stanford educators and scientists to create a scientifically accurate and educational experience. Measured the effect of exploration and immersion in VR on learning and attitudes towards the environment. Performed outreach in separate senate briefings for both the US Senate (October 2016) and the Palauan National Congress (July 2017), showing senators and staffers the simulation and discussing the potential of VR for education purposes. Released the simulation on Steam for free in October 2016.
