Designed and delivered school-based post-secondary advising to 200+ high school juniors and seniors through one-on-one and small-group meetings. Planned and executed six-week summer employment program for 20 Boston youth focused on leadership development, community issue analysis and civic activism for educational justice. Supported the redesign, development, and delivery of 16-workshop college readiness curriculum focusing on topics including social-emotional learning, team-building, college preparation, college selection, financial aid and budgeting, and leadership development. Generated, edited, and curated daily social media content from across agency's three programs. Conducted quantitative and qualitative data analysis and generate policy recommendations for City of Boston's Public Safety Planning Process. Designed and implemented civic programming for 100+ youth ages 12-19 in five public schools across Chicago. Designed and facilitated yearlong pilot initiative to increase college knowledge and access for program youth. Designed and facilitated three-month pilot internship for high school students to work for city officials. Trained 150+ youth in skill areas including participatory action research, leadership, and social emotional learning.
Collaborated with professors and graduate students on the design and delivery of a 10-week policy-based civic media curriculum for 25 high school students. Collected 10 weeks of field notes and transcribed over 40 hours of classroom instruction and individual student interviews.
Launched and coordinated the Guidance Services Program to connect over 50 adult education students to social service, health care, and employment opportunities in the West Ridge area and neighboring communities. Created a resource toolkit with over 60 community organizations that was available and accessible to adult education students and staff members. Tutored adult students in ESL Level 1 and GED test preparation.
