During my time as Recreation Director I was charged with staffing, coaching education , creating curriculum, creating yearly budget models , running session and programs. I spent a lot of time speaking to parents and coaches creating a culture that would be representative of what Rec soccer embodies, love of the game. As Director I was very active during game day helping coaches on the sidelines.
I also worked on several outreach programs and was responsible for the inaugural Rec Festival.
As an Age Group Director I held regular meetings about the direction of the age group. Created tangible goals for each team based on level. Requested feedback to assist coaches with training and game models. Created coach deck for coaches to use as a resource. Responding to parent concerns and league issues was a part of my daily duties.
I firmly believe that being accountable to membership is key to success.
As Director I ran all day to day operations of the company. Having multiple sites running concurretly I was responsible for staffing, coordinating with facility management, equipment and all aspects of the camp or clinic. I created budgets and ran payroll for each and every program.
I ran the majority of the sessions as I was very hands on implementing our curriculum and vision for what we were creating. I handled all questions and concerns from players and parents.
I loved my time at Sand and Surf. I was stepping into a new club that I could really add my handprint to. I coached 3 teams and oversaw 14 other girls teams. As Director I also revamped the entire Clubs practice schedule to maximize field space and limit waste. I helped create a new pay structure for coaches that reflected experience and value to the Club.
In my time at McLean, other than developing my teams, I was running programs, staffing, creating budget models, overseeing other coaches in my age group and providing support. I ran summer camps for several years and Directed our Skills Program. I was responsible for creating curriculum, responded to parent concerns, guided younger coaches at sessions and evaluating both players and coaches. I reported to my Director and the Technical Director of the Club.
