Despite the fact that it was my first full time experience and I've been there for a few months, I've progressed fast and in some cases I've done field work by myself. Some things I've learned: working with official documents, working with a Trimble R8 GPS Receiver, creating building's indoor sketches, and working with a Leica TS06 total station.
It was a collaboration that lasted two years, but it wasn't a continuous participation from my side. My contribution was occasional on several projects and those projects consisted of: topographical measurements, cadastre and cadastral documentation, and stakeout measurements.

The title of master thesis is: "Monitoring of the church tower in Herrenberg with GNSS".
A summary of my thesis is described next:
The church tower in Herrenberg (nearby Stuttgart) was monitored with leveling to identify the vertical sinking of the church tower. In recent years, some new cracks can been found on the church tower wall, which could be caused by the horizontal deformation of the church tower. To identify the both horizontal and vertical deformation of the church tower, the GNSS technology can be used.
In this thesis, both geodetic and low cost GNSS receivers will be used. The quality of the GNSS-measurements of both types will be investigated. The key limitation factor for accuracy of GNSS (for short baselines) is the multipath effect, the influence of the multipath effect will be analyzed and mitigated.
This is an online course offered by Berkley's University. I had the chance to learn how to think critically about data and draw robust conclusions based on incomplete information. I learned to analyse, interpret and visualise data using Python.
The Location Advantage was part of a massive open online course (MOOC) offered by Esri. This course was about how to use location analytics to improve understanding of markets, customers, and business processes. I've learned how to apply location analytics in retail, finance, insurance, marketing, real estate, and other industries.
The pedagogy is a course offered by the Department
for the Training of Teaching Staff of Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest and it prepares students to teach in primary schools and high schools.
Topics: Topography, Geodesy, Cadastre, Cartography, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, etc.
Diploma project: "Foundation movements survey using the level monitoring technique"
My duty in this project was to teach other students how ArcGis can be used and what utilities and tools it has.
The best part of this experience was the chance to attend two free courses at Esri Romania: ArcGis 1- Introduction to GIS and ArcGis 2 - Essential Workflows. Besides that, I've discovered that I like to get involved in different activities and I talk easily with people.
