Media Literacy Week, 2014 Media Literacy Week is a national event hosted by Media Smarts and the Canadian Teachers’ Federation. The theme of 2014 was "Youth & Social Networking: Creative, Connected, Collaborative" and focused on promoting the use of social platforms to youth for activism, peer support, and advocacy. This event was held at the Facebook Canada office in Toronto. It featured workshops for attendees by, Mozilla, Kindness Counts and Facebook, Ladies Learning Code, Twitter Canada, and The National Film Board of Canada. It was sponsored by over 100 organizations including, Bell, Instagram, Facebook Canada and Youtube.
