I was hired into the Emerging Leaders Rotation program and completed four rotations in two years, eventually working full time in ISRM, Access and Data Governance as an Information Risk Consultant.I enjoy looking at how things are done, asking why, and then seeing if there is way to improve on the process.

User Access Reviews

  • Perform various reviews to meet SOC1 and SOC2 and other audit requirements, quarterly
  • Use SailPoint and SharePoint to perform reviews with over 1500+ managers
  • Gather reports from various systems and applications and merge into one user friendly format for reviews to approve or deny access

Privileged Access Reviews

  • Implemented the Privilege Access Review project at HMHS-Team lead for privileged access review, which is completed every 60 days.
  • Conduct review through SharePoint-Work with 900+ managers, ensuring reviews are completed by the deadline
  • Gather reports from various systems and merge into a user friendly, review format
  • Removed thousands of unnecessary entitlements from users, reducing risk

Remediation/Validation

  • Send reports to Identity and Access Management (IAM) for remediation
  • Ensure the access marked for removal will not affect outside customers
  • Validate that the access is actually removed from the system

Database Compliance Monitoring

  • Monitor weekly reports for DB2, Oracle, Teradata, SQL
  • Look for excessive failed connections, shared passwords, excessive privileges, terminated employees, etc.
  • Report findings to DBA's and IAM for remediation
