The TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences.
Essentially, our campus ambassadors mobilize their peers to post about things that matter to them, the obstacles they face, the career decisions they make and the dreams that guide them. Expect myself and my colleagues to share perspectives, highlight pressing concerns, and curate voices from fellow students. The Campus editors learn from the experiences of our previous campus relays.
Collaborated in founding of a Veterans nonprofit; instrumental in 503.1c certification process. Extensive case management with special group’s population connecting clients with needed social services, and resources. Active in regional Veteran community connecting Veterans to employment.
The National University Scholars Program is a scholarship and educational program created to reward exceptional students. Celebrating the University’s diverse student population, this program offers a high-impact experience through recognizing students who demonstrate potential for high achievement and contribution to society with a special emphasis on leadership, service, scholarship and academic excellence.
Virtual health care technology providers Health Net Connect and iAssay are collaborating with National University’s Nurse-Managed Clinic in Watts, Los Angeles to support the clinic’s mission to improve health care access for residents. The clinic project, led by the University with the involvement of various organizations and community groups, is incorporating cutting-edge technologies to support patient health by connecting residents at specially-designated sites with nurse practitioners at remote locations.
Since SVA’s founding in 2008, over one million veterans have returned home to pursue a postsecondary degree or certificate using VA education benefits. To meet this need, SVA’s presence at the local and national levels has grown to include over 1,300 chapter affiliates, numerous private and nonprofit partners, and most importantly, an expanding list of impactful programs and services for veterans.
