Essential Partners continues to advance the work of the Public Conversations Project in both capacity building for and facilitation of polarized dialogues involving core values and identity.

  • Streamlined and organized 25 years of materials developed for different dialogue projects into an online database for remote access by associates working in the field.
  • Acted as the main contact person for developing an upcoming community dialogue project with partners in Taunton, MA.
  • Working as an assistant to the Director of Program Development.

The Whole World is a Single Flower International Zen Conference

A triennial international Zen conference held in Korea in 2014. Over 200 participants from 14 countries participated in the conference and two-week tour of Korea.

  • Contact person for Regional Coordinators and for in-country travel agent, project team leaders, volunteers and other committee members
  • Organized, managed and recorded Planning Committee meetings
  • Recruited, organized and trained volunteers. Created and provided volunteers with necessary information materials
  • Project Director for "Ip San: Entering the Mountains," a photography exhibition that raised money for the monastic health insurance fund
  • Lead coordinator and event planner before and during the two week tour
  • Managed follow up feedback surveys of the participants and wrote summary report of event

  • Tested the pilot national Buddhist English program of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, which involved pre- and post-lesson reporting and filming instructional videos
  • Organized 3-day overnight Buddhist Camps in summer and winter for 30-50 children
  • Formulated monthly Buddhist programs for visiting soldiers
  • Designed and taught Sunday Buddhist English classes for children
