Nicholas Ilieff

I own and operate Digital BrandLink, a design + marketing company based in Chicago. In addition to the behind-the-scenes jobs such as an accountant, customer service rep, and janitor, I am also the Lead Designer + Lead Marketer helping other small to medium-sized business owner grow their business by offering my expertise in the areas of design and marketng.

I co-owned and operated AN7SI VENTURES, an Umbrella corporation based in Chicago that had branches in venture capitalism, digital design and marketing, as well as screen and heat printing T-shirts. My part of the business was to be the director of operations for the digital media and marketing branch and the t-shirt printing branch as well as create both branches and all internal products, staff, marketing materials, etc.

Was recruited to create all of the design and marketing material for this new start up. From scratch, I implemented all company style guides, color palettes, marketing material, ran a staff of three people, oversaw the company social media, oversaw the social media accounts of four outside clients, built four versions of the website which were all adopted and then replaced by the owner's creations, and had to be willing to maintain communication with the owner 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

• Create bar processes and procedures for the entire bar staff to follow
• Responsible for serving beer, wine, mixed cocktails, and craft cocktails to five bar-area tables, 15 bar seats while maintaining an efficient service well for up to nine servers

• Created all internal marketing materials for every event
• Designed uniforms for the staff two to three times a year
• Created all of the animated digital signage for the company
• Ran the social media accounts
• Created content for social media accounts
• Designed all print material such as large banners, signs, holiday cards, fliers, and table tents
• Responsible for managing a staff of 18 employees
• Point person for all technology needs including ordering supplies, troubleshooting problems, and set up of any media requests from customers
• Event planning including booking, set up, execution, and follow up of each event
• Assist in fundraising for numerous local charities
• Head of community outreach with the Northalsted/Boystown community and the LGBT community that extends beyond Northalsted

• Responsibly served drinks to customers with a friendly and hospitable attitude
• Cultivated relationships with customers and had numerous regular customers

• Managed an office of nine people with the owner was out of the office or on business trips
• Managed the owners calendar
• Made all travel arrangements for the owner of the company
• Corresponded with city officials and various political offices on behalf of the owner
• Headed the educational department and went on sales visits and fortified existing relationships with venders
• Planned events of 800+ people including the biggest event for Russian culture in Chicago—Russia Days.

• Manage front desk staff of three and other front desk employees
• Place order for front desk supplies and general salon and spa supplies

• Provide top rated hospitality to all guests by anticipating and accommodating client needs
