• Breed and maintained animal colonies following lab protocol
• Genotyped animals for study participation
• Created dosage charts for treatment plans
• Prepared samples and ran protein analysis on samples using western blotting
• Cryosectioned and prepared samples for immunohistochemistry
• Analyzed EEGs and video recordings to characterize the progression of epilepsy

Gaber Lab, Cancer and Hematology Center

• Helped create an automated program to automatically count proliferating cells in pictures of tissue sections stained through immunohistochemistry
• Assisted graduate students, in their animal imaging studies through setting up the imaging study and preparing animals for the imaging study
• Analyzed animal MRI imaging data to measure areas of interest for the purposes of the study

Co-Founder, President (2016-2017), Vice-President (2014-2016), Brigade Leader (2015,2016)

• Co-founded local chapter of Global Brigades focused on Medicine at the University of Houston
• Recruited students to join our organization and turn it into the largest student group to travel abroad to provide medical care to others at the University of Houston and grew from 5 initial members to 47 in 2 years
• Led a team within the organization to collect the necessary medications required for our brigade, and to help train members on collecting basic vital signs
• As brigade leader, I organized our members and helped plan our in-country medical clinics alongside in-country advisors and staff, to treat 900 in 3 days in Honduras, and 1100 patients over 3 days in Nicaragua.

• Analyzed 24-48 hour video recordings to characterize progression of epilepsy
• Prepared and ran samples for protein analysis through western blotting and analyzed results

• Checked in club members at the rock wall
• Assisted club members in getting into harnesses properly and clipped into the auto belay systems
• Taught members how to climb safely using the auto belay system
• Helped teach members in rock climbing classes
• Created new rock climbing routes for members

Emergency Center

• Assisted front desk staff in helping check-in patients
• Escorted triaged patients to their rooms within the EC, and helped transport patients being admitted to their rooms
• Assisted EC staff, clean and prepare rooms for new patient
• Checked up on patients to see if there was anything I could do to make them comfortable
