Work Experience

I.T. Graduate

During the graduate program, I have worked with 4 teams: enterprise architecture, cyber security, IT payments and e-commerce. I have been in multiple roles comprising of a mixture of: (technical) business analyst, project manager and recently, scrum master. I have gained many new skills, refined existing skills and developed a passion for customer technology and product design. My biggest achievements are:

  • Developed EQ to a mature level, especially around leadership, its many nuances and their importance in the workplace. I demonstrated this in facilitating communication through the construction of an internal website which is still used to date.
  • Assisted with the education and awareness of the risks of cyber threats. This was achieved through mock-phish and education campaigns along with the launch of the Acceptable Use of Information Policy and accompanying Stay Smart Online Week event. This has resulted in a significant decrease in click-rates of social engineering attacks (~35%) along with increased engagement with the cyber security team.
  • Kicked-off a million dollar project that has been significant in bringing the payments division within Woolworths to be PCI compliant. An instrumental part of this has involved successfully on-boarding an international vendor while liaising with legal and finance representatives.

TEDxUNSW

Jun 2015 - Current
Founder & Co-organiser

To combat narcism and a competitive culture within the university community, I founded a company to share ideas worth spreading. This has been a great passion of mine and it has grown from absolutely nothing to having a steady subscriber base of over 3000 people with an average VOC of 8.3. I aspire to continue leading this company's vision of instilling a mindset of innovation and a collaborative culture in the university and surrounding community.

  • Successfully negotiated a deal with UNSW and various other companies to secure funding of over $60,000 over 2 years. Our success has resulted in the university offering us structure, support and funding to operate independently on campus for the next 3 years.
  • Hired and lead a team to grow from 1 person to over 30 within 2 years with a turnover of less than 20% year on year. Employee satisfaction has been over 90% per year.
  • Marketed the brand and product to gain a reach of 300,000 with engagement of over 20% (compared to the industry average of ~2%).
