It's time to take another look at the medical software in use today. In the race to provide a solution that worked in a computer-supported environment, software programs were delivered that were riddled with problems and over-saturated with unnecessary features.
Add to this industry regulations, the insurance company demands, and an iron-knuckled grip on 'doing it the way it's always been done' and you've got unnecessarily complex products that require far too much in terms of hospital funds, IT investment, and even day-to-day administration. What was intended to be an advancement resulted in .. digital paperwork. And no one likes paperwork.
We are building something better. A product that helps improve patient care, with greater accuracy and efficiency. One that's simple to learn and easy to use.
Our team is developing the world's smartest, most powerful, most user-friendly medical software you've ever seen.
We think it's about time.
This is my opportunity to give back to the community. I take an hour or two a week to mentor a UX Design student. Helping plant seeds in new designers, with an occasional trimming.
A Startup Incubator; where every 6-8 weeks we released a new startup product.
Very I drove the future of world-class User Experience Design. Finding the intersection between bleeding edge technology and effortless user experiences. Plan and propose innovative solutions for user interaction, visual design, information architecture, and testing practices for Clients, Startups, and products alike.
Define, prioritize, and drive deliverables aligning to the product roadmap including all user experience design assets to support decisions and the development of products. Drive decisions for the user experience with cross-functional engineering and product management teams, and lead executive design reviews leveraging data and customer insight.
Healthcare software is a mess. It always looks like an ancient Hewlett Packard had an aneurism then fell into pieces on the screen.
At Patient Logic, we are trying to fix this problem. My task has been to bring better thinking with a brand new workflow for physicians and healthcare users alike. Re-designing the experience from the start with the perspective of a physician is changing the way healthcare software is done.
Daily, I review requirements from subject matter experts, work with and mentor fellow UX designers, and craft workflows and screens to flesh out the Patient Logic suite of services.
While at iostudio, I grew it from a small regional advertising firm to a nationally recognized firm with national clients. Contributed as the main player in securing national clients such as The Army National Guard. Won over 20mm in contracts to wholly own the digital presence of The Army National Guard. Including the marketing website, all social media platforms, mobile applications, and enlistment web applications.
The online enlistment application went from concept with 10% of Guard enlistments to 90% Guard enlistments over 14 months, and to concept with 2 additional military branches.
Won the first military brand race to 1mm likes on Facebook. Beating the Marines, by only 14 days.
Worked here to help generate a start up project called "TutorSource". The project was to help connect students with local tutors in specific subjects. The web app would handle the search, connection, communication, and financial transactions between student and tutor.
Working alongside Creative and Account Executives alike, while helping get this interactive team off the ground. SK+G has been a good place to flush out my skills and learn to work with many types of clients.
My home for side projects. I use this entity to create ideas, have fun with design experiments, and release products I just want to exist.
I started doing some design work on the side to help get through school, and it blossomed into a good source of income. I got me in the door to this industry and still gets me some freelance work every so often.
A Lord of Brand and Typography, I could not explain the amount of great work that comes from this little shop. I was fortunate to have spent some time under the principle to learn and understand how to read clients and deliver work to please. Working as the entire interactive department for this little shop it laid a foundation from where I have grown.
