Technical Project Manager

The Technical Project Manager, Professional Services, is responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of multiple client-facing projects on behalf of Synacor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct accountability and responsibility for overall success of assigned client projects/portfolio
- Work with clients, sales, & internal teams to scope and define projects: including objectives, requirements, scope, price, schedule, & deliverables
- Manage the relationships with clients, partners, & internal teams to ensure client satisfaction throughout the project
- Represent Synacor and conduct business at all times with a high level of professionalism, competencies, and ethics to ensure the client’s success
- Lead and manage the internal cross-functional project team to ensure that we
- Gather, analyze, understand, & document project requirements
- Define a detailed scope of work with clearly specified deliverables and results
- Manage, monitor, and communicate progress against plan on a regular basis
- Provide work plans and assignments to the project team, both internally and for the client
- Manage changes, issues, and risks associated with the project
- Manage the acceptance of all formal project deliverables
- Close the project on completion of all project deliverables
- Accurately forecast, plan, report, and manage staff-utilization on the project to ensure accurate and timely Project Revenue & Cost Accounting
- Proactively identify, manage, and resolve project issues to minimize client escalations and maximize client satisfaction
Required Experience, Skills, & Education:
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related technical field
- At least 3-5 years of Software or Technical Project Management experience working directly with Clients and/or Partners
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building experience
- Strong technical understanding and experience working with complex software solutions and systems
- Knowledge and experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology
- Excellent communications skills across all levels of the organization from individual contributors to C-level executives, internally and with clients
- PMI certification a plus
- Multi-language a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel
