The Technical Project Manager, Professional Services, is responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of multiple client-facing projects on behalf of Synacor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct accountability and responsibility for overall success of assigned client projects/portfolio
• Work with clients, sales, & internal teams to scope and define projects: including objectives, requirements, scope, price, schedule, & deliverables
• Manage the relationships with clients, partners, & internal teams to ensure client satisfaction throughout the project
• Represent Synacor and conduct business at all times with a high level of professionalism, competencies, and ethics to ensure the client’s success
• Lead and manage the internal cross-functional project team to ensure that we
  • Gather, analyze, understand, & document project requirements
  • Define a detailed scope of work with clearly specified deliverables and results
  • Manage, monitor, and communicate progress against plan on a regular basis
  • Provide work plans and assignments to the project team, both internally and for the client
  • Manage changes, issues, and risks associated with the project
  • Manage the acceptance of all formal project deliverables
  • Close the project on completion of all project deliverables
• Accurately forecast, plan, report, and manage staff-utilization on the project to ensure accurate and timely Project Revenue & Cost Accounting
• Proactively identify, manage, and resolve project issues to minimize client escalations and maximize client satisfaction

Required Experience, Skills, & Education:

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related technical field
• At least 3-5 years of Software or Technical Project Management experience working directly with Clients and/or Partners
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building experience
• Strong technical understanding and experience working with complex software solutions and systems
• Knowledge and experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology
• Excellent communications skills across all levels of the organization from individual contributors to C-level executives, internally and with clients
• PMI certification a plus
• Multi-language a plus
• Ability and willingness to travel
