Job Description We are looking for a lead UX Writer to join our Documentation team.

In this role, you will lead a center of excellence at Sage Intacct, focusing on simple, intuitive experiences that support customers in accomplishing their business tasks.

In addition to crafting UX copy in-product, you will extend your impact by evangelizing our standards across all feature teams. Working closely with Documentation team members and UX experience designers, you will advocate for the customer and serve as an expert advisor to teams during the feature development process. By applying your expertise, you will help teams build consistent, usable experiences across screens and workflows.

LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Position the role of UX content by making it easier for customers to understand and use Sage Intacct.
• Develop best practices and standards for UX writing, from information architecture to microcopy.
• Provide mentorship to writers, experience designers, and cross-functional feature teams.
• Collaborate with experience designers to deliver UI pattern documentation for feature teams.
• Drive processes and tools that make UX content an integral part of the feature development process.
• Actively participate in UI and content governance boards, promoting best practices, consistency, and usability.
• Work with the Sage Content Style Guide committee to build and maintain UI labeling guidelines for content that delivers on our voice, tone, and brand promises.

INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Craft consistent, usable, and intuitive content for UI components and interactions.
• Build internal and external documentation for user interface components and features.

Key Responsibilities JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 + years’ experience working as a UX writer for business applications. Experience with accounting and cloud-based software is a plus.
• Deep understanding of UX writing trends and principals.
• Skill at translating sophisticated concepts and workflows into language that resonates with customers.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across teams to influence and shape designs.
• Strong writing portfolio, showing contributions to in-product user experience.
• Proven track record of educating and evangelizing on UX writing standards, making it easy for teams to build consistent, usable experiences across product areas.
• Experience with techniques for testing and iterating on content in designs.
• Excellent knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and word usage.
• Contributions to style and brand guidelines are a plus.
