We’re at the forefront of what’s next for education — and we’re looking for a Program Manager to join our Production Team.

Who We’re Looking For

The Production & Program Management team is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of our online learning initiatives, which includes writing original content to bring faculty curriculum ideas to life, producing videos and other assets, managing vendor & partner relationships, and managing budgets and deadlines to ensure program success.

The Program Manager reports to the VP of Production & Program Management and works closely with Esme’s Curriculum, Course Operations, Content & QA, Video Production, and Marketing teams — as well as our external partners, vendors, and freelancers — to keep all assigned deliverables on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall course development plan, schedule, and deliverables
• Coordinate across internal Esme teams, contractors, and development partner stakeholders to ensure the on-time delivery of all assigned courses within budget
• Work in Jira to manage and track course development and hold cross-functional teams accountable for milestones and deliverables
• Partner closely with the Lead Instructional Designer and Lead Writer for each assigned course to ensure timely updates to content that address feedback and support the pedagogical goals of the program
• Work closely with the Lead Instructional Designer, Lead Writer, and Video Production team to ensure each course includes an appropriate body of faculty and industry guest speakers to elevate our instructional content
• Ensure that content is developed to support current accessibility standards
• Regularly communicate with partner institutions & lead faculty to arrange meetings, confirm course schedules, discuss any risks or issues, and contribute to the overall health of the partner relationship
• Ensure that all stakeholders are regularly informed of program status and communicate proactively with management regarding any problems or potential issues
• Anticipate and communicate risks and develop options to mitigate risks
• Ensure timely delivery of each new presentation of a course, ensuring that revision goals are met
• Work to continuously improve program management processes to support both efficiency and creative experimentation

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in advanced project management or program management
• Previous experience managing agile workflows in JIRA
• Experience managing online education programs strongly preferred
