The Sauce Labs DevX Growth team is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join us in building features with a focus on the Developer’s experience. The DevX team is a small, hyper curious and rapidly growing team and you’ll get the opportunity to lead the design, creation and maintenance of these tools and features to provide the best developer experience.

With the focus to improve the customer journey, you will be part of a team that cares deeply about developing and integrating new product features.

Responsibilities:

• Help build our platform used by thousands of our developer customers and a key strategic asset of Sauce Labs
• Integrate new features and develop new components using React, Redux
• Develop, define, and evolve software in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest frameworks and patterns.
• Research and prototype new products and solutions using open source technologies
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers and designers on innovative new product features
• Make intelligent choices for the adoption of new technologies based on your extensive experience
• Pair with teammates to interactively develop and design prototypes to improve the customer journey
• Work through the software development agile process and its best practices, from continuously integrating code to production deployment
• Proficient with CI/CD tools (Github, Gitlab, CircleCI, etc)

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience developing web applications in a modern Javascript framework (React, Vue, Angular, Ember, Svelte, etc) and with a state management tool (Redux, MobX, etc)
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, design patterns
• Strong sense of ownership and passion for engineering great products with stellar user experiences
• Experience building and consuming microservices such as Rest or GRPC
• Understanding of common security practices involved in protecting customer data

Bonus points:

• Experience with Lerna and Webpack
• Expertise in any of our core languages and technologies, with a good knowledge of their associated ecosystems (JavaScript, Angular, Vue, React, Redux, Node, GO/Golang, Python, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Experience in contributing to open source projects
