Senior Manager, Media Strategy and Planning

The Senior Manager, Media Strategy and Planning is responsible for the successful planning and management of global media across the customer-facing business group.
- The ideal candidate is an analytical operator who can connect all aspects of the business such as performance marketing, brand awareness, offline media, promotional efforts, and merchandising to effectively translate into a single media strategy, plan and budget.
- This role partners and works closely with Marketing, Merchandising, and Finance leadership to incorporate the various department plans and integrates them into a single media plan and budget to align with overall business goals and budget.
- This person will have comprehensive knowledge of digital marketing initiatives including paid performance marketing campaigns, SEM campaigns, programmatic, display and OLV campaigns, offline marketing channels (TV and OOH) as well as marketing attribution and tracking.
- In addition, this person will answer key questions such as pacing towards budget plans and risk/opportunity management throughout the month and quarter. They will dive into the data to better understand the key drivers that are influencing the overall trends and look for opportunities to optimize and improve plans.
- Success in this role requires a strong bias for action, being a decisive decision-maker, and has the ability to consistently perform at the highest level. Having a strong analytical foundation is highly required with deep expertise in excel, business impact modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of digital media strategy and planning experience
- Mastery of principles of digital strategy and planning. Experience with optimization media metrics, marketing attribution, and business analysis including sales analysis and performance analysis
- Proficient in excel and other data analysis tools
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage ambiguous work environments
- Strong communication, presentation and project management skills are a must, as well as, a demonstrated ability to work well with a team.
- Relentlessly high standards and high attention to detail
- Ability to plan strategically, but stay on top of tactical execution
- Proficiency in BI platforms such as Tableau, Looker, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in SQL and more advanced data analysis tools
- Ideally with some level of experience with marketing campaign management and optimization
- Experience with marketing analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, etc.
Responsibilities
- Lead the media planning process (annual & quarterly) across the customer department
- Oversee goal tracking and budget pacing for the customer department
- Develop and deliver actionable insights that lead to improved business outcomes
- Present business insights and trends to the CCO and customer department leadership. Use these insights to drive improvements towards goals and alignment across the various groups within the customer department
- Provide recommendations to customer department leadership on where to prioritize and make media invest across markets, customer segments, campaigns, and channels to deliver the highest impact
- Partner closely with teams that work on media measurement/analytics
- Key owner to produce and provide reporting on media performance and weekly business results
- Prepares presentations and storyline of content for weekly performance and pacing of media
