ABOUT THE CONTRACT ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

• We lead with great design and are constantly publishing best-in-class stationery designs that appeal to our diverse customer base.
• As we continue to grow our designs across multiple stationery categories, we are looking for Contract Graphic Designers to design stationery for wedding, baby, and holiday on a project basis.
• You are passionate about good design and show strong design skills in typography, layout, and illustration.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• You will be presented a creative brief with clear deliverables and deadline for each design project by our in-house Design Team
• You will independently create design concepts and submit for feedback
• After feedback and approval by our Art Director, you will submit design files by deadline
• Expected to finish 3 – 5 design projects per month

SUCCESSFUL CONTRACT DESIGNER CANDIDATES HAVE:

• Expertise in working in Adobe Illustrator and advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Stationery and/or paper goods design experience
• A portfolio that includes your stationery and/or paper goods design work
• A portfolio that demonstrates fluency with print and digital design and shows strong understanding of design fundamentals (typography, composition, color, layout, hierarchy ect.). Your portfolio will be assessed on how your creative thinking translates into beautiful and fresh printed design solutions.
• At least 4+ years experience designing for print
• Ability to translate design briefs into concepts within 2 weeks and revisions within 3 days.
• Strong typography skills with an excellent sense for pairing fonts together in design layout
• Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy and professionalism
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once in fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
• Wedding stationery design experience a plus
• Illustration experience a plus
