Job Overview:

We are looking for a Jr. Graphic Designer to help us with our web, email, and print design. You will work within a fast-paced environment to create graphics for all Cotopaxi channels (Retail, Wholesale, Ecommerce, Impact, etc.). This position reports to the VP of Creative. This position will start in January 2022.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work within brand standards to design print graphics for retail stores and wholesale partners.
• Create email designs using existing templates. Create new templates as needed.
• Design materials for our website, including product pages, collection pages, etc.
• Prepare files for print, including preflight and proofing.
• Coordinate with printers to execute retail graphics.

Job Requirements:

Programs/Skills Needed:

• Understanding of the relationship between images and words. i.e. Doesn’t let pretty design get in the way of communicating a message.
• Someone who is a builder and can help us develop stronger processes and design strategies.
• Someone who has a great attitude and can work with stakeholders from across the company to produce quality results.
• Someone who can apply art direction from the team to a broad range of graphic applications.
• Figma and/or Sketch experience is appreciated.
• Adobe CC (esp. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) experience is required.
• Bonus Points:
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS
  • Strong Writing Skills
  • UX or UI Background

Education & Experience:

• Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• 13+ years’ design experience.
• Experience in the outdoor industry preferred.
• Experience working at a direct-to-consumer e-commerce business preferred.
