    About the role

    WorkOS is looking for a Product Designer who has experience designing complex interfaces. Ideally, you’ll also have previous experience designing developers tools.

    You’ll be responsible for discovering, defining and designing experiences that specifically attract and engage developers.

    Successful candidates will approach design with systems thinking and be obsessed with developer experience. You’ll combine intuition with constant user feedback to make informed strategic decisions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Rapid iteration and prototyping of visual interfaces
    • Engage with users to identify points of friction that may be reduced by altering design workflows
    • Implement modern interaction and visual design elements (e.g. videos or interactive components)
    • Navigate technical challenges of creating complex tools for both developers and their Enterprise IT end-users

    Qualifications:

    • 4+ yrs’ industry experience in software interface design

    • Experience running quantitative and qualitative research, with usability testing, analysis, interviews and field studies
    • Self-disciplined and proactive about fulfilling design needs across product, website and other collateral

    The role will report to the Chief Design Officer and you will work collaboratively with the Product Team to curate beautiful virtual room designs for our products to be displayed in. Photography is required when we launch a new wave of products. These images will be published on our retailer partner websites such as Amazon, Wayfair, Home Depot, Walmart etc. Once the room designs are completed, you will hand off the design spec to our 3D team who use 3D technology to create lifelike imagery.

    During the period when photography is not required, our Brand team acts as a service provider for our Digital Marketing and Product teams. The Visual & Graphic Production Artist will work on requests which can range from website landing page assets, tear sheets, additional product photography for holiday’s, vendor instruction sheet improvements and short brand-voice’ copywriting. As well as actively posting on our social media channels (currently focused on Instagram + Pinterest).

    • Valerie Pitsch (she/her) originally joined the company as an Account Manager in 2017, and moved onto the Product Team as a Product Manager in 2018.     What You'll Be Doing

    RequirementsEducation & Work Experience:

    • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, etc.)
    • 3+ years of experience designing and shipping products across native iOS and Android apps

    Communication & Collaboration:

    • Ability to communicate design concept ideas at varying levels of resolution (sketches, low-fi mockups, hi-fi comps, interactive prototypes, etc.)
