    The role will report to the Chief Design Officer and you will work collaboratively with the Product Team to curate beautiful virtual room designs for our products to be displayed in. Photography is required when we launch a new wave of products. These images will be published on our retailer partner websites such as Amazon, Wayfair, Home Depot, Walmart etc. Once the room designs are completed, you will hand off the design spec to our 3D team who use 3D technology to create lifelike imagery.

    During the period when photography is not required, our Brand team acts as a service provider for our Digital Marketing and Product teams. The Visual & Graphic Production Artist will work on requests which can range from website landing page assets, tear sheets, additional product photography for holiday’s, vendor instruction sheet improvements and short brand-voice’ copywriting. As well as actively posting on our social media channels (currently focused on Instagram + Pinterest).

    • Valerie Pitsch (she/her) originally joined the company as an Account Manager in 2017, and moved onto the Product Team as a Product Manager in 2018. She came to Tribe with a background in marketing and research, and after working directly with Tribe’s users, she seamlessly transitioned her current role prioritizing the product pipeline, conducting user research, and managing data integrations.     • 5-7 years experience in hands-on web/digital design as a full-time employee in a corporate marketing department
    • B2B technology experience strongly preferred
    • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, Engineering and Marketing teams to solve complex problems, humanize product ideas and develop these ideas into modern, simple and intuitive mobile designs and features
    • Design navigation flows and prototype new user experiences based on product requirements that are simple and intuitive for our native iOS and Android mobile platforms
    • Iterate on existing mobile designs to consistently improve the user experience and design
    • Compellingly communicate and present design solutions, across a range of mediums and fidelities, to stakeholders and other product designers, while defending design decisions and incorporating feedback into the design cycle
    • Generate detailed iOS and Android mocks/specs of final designs that allow engineers to build accurately
    • Partner with engineers to ensure a high-quality implementation and user experience
    • Raise the bar for product quality across our mobile platforms by advocating for user-centered product roadmaps, new interface guidelines and mobile design patterns, investments in refinement, polish and iteration, and insights driven by user research and customer feedback

    RequirementsEducation & Work Experience:

    • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, etc.)
    • 3+ years of experience designing and shipping products across native iOS and Android apps

    Communication & Collaboration:

    • Ability to communicate design concept ideas at varying levels of resolution (sketches, low-fi mockups, hi-fi comps, interactive prototypes, etc.)
    • Experience with cross-functional collaboration between Research, Design, Product, Engineering, Data Science and Marketing to develop the strategy and rationale for features

    Expertise & Skills:

    • Proven ability to bring projects from concept to completion. (Have designed and shipped software product)
