That’s what our founders knew when they started Zeus Living in 2015, setting out to make renting a home easier. The goal then—and now—is to remove the stress of finding housing.

We’ve grown a lot since we started, and today we’re a hardworking team of creators, problem-solvers, and strategists who enjoy each other’s company and believe in what we do. Based in San Francisco and backed by Airbnb, Comcast, Bowery, and Initialized Capital, we’ve raised $90M in funding.

    The Role

As a Senior Product Designer at Zeus Living, you’ll contribute to the strategy, vision, and execution of our core product offering. You’ll be responsible for the design solutions that shape our guest experiences as they plan, book, arrive, and live with Zeus Living.

You’ll work collaboratively with our product, engineering, and business teams to iterate and build usable, useful, and delightful experiences that help people who want to live with Zeus. You’ll engage across all stages of a project, using your skills in concepting, prototyping, service design, information design, workshop facilitation, and user research.

While your responsibilities will start largely as an individual contributor, you’ll be expected to lead the growth of our Design team and practice in years to come. You’ll have opportunities to manage as we expand the team, so interest in leadership is a plus.

    What You’ll Do

    • Actively practice and evangelize customer-centric thinking
    • Deeply understand business goals and work with product managers to define requirements, not just translate them to design
    • Identify future opportunities, working as a key thought partner to your counterparts in Product, Engineering, and Ops
    • Own, lead and drive design problems from research and ideation through to execution
    • Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, Operations and Marketing
    • Use quantitative data and qualitative feedback to inform the design decisions iteratively

    What We’re Looking For

    • At least 5+ years of experience in product design
    • Demonstrated ability to tackle complex user and design problems
    • A portfolio showing your high-quality UX, interaction, and visual design
    • Interest in qualitative and quantitative data. You care deeply about grounding decisions in real data, marketplace needs & norms, and business OKRs.
    • An owner’s attitude. You don’t hesitate to initiate spontaneous research, you empower engineers to get the fit and finish right, and you translate insights from research into meaningful action.
    • You know when to apply the appropriate level of fidelity to your work, being conscious of deadlines & deliverables to communicate your solution.
    • Interest in mentorship and management.
    • Bonus: Experience with marketplace products; Experience with travel booking products; Interest in real estate or hospitality

  • Pinpoint HQ logo

    Lead Product Designer

    Pinpoint HQ
    Worldwide

    Lead Product Designer

We’re a UK-based high-growth, bootstrapped HR-tech start-up, building and selling software that helps in-house recruitment teams attract, hire, and retain the best talent.

We operate in a congested space, but we feel like the vast majority of organisations across the globe aren’t recruiting well (at all!), and that nobody has build recruitment software well enough to really make a dent in that problem yet. We’re doing what we can to solve that, and whilst we’re just getting started, it’s going pretty well so far.

First and foremost, we care deeply about design and value design thinking across every facet of our business. We’ve invested heavily in building a strong design foundation – we worked with Focus Lab on our brand early in our journey, and have spent the past couple of years working with Taylor/Thomas to evolve that brand into a fully fledged design system covering both product and our marketing ecosystem.

We’re growing faster than ever, and we’re now looking to bring on our first full-time internal design hire (supported by our design partners where needed) to own and build upon design here at Pinpoint.

    What you’ll be doing

You’ll be our first internal design hire, so the role will be very varied at first, with a view to enabling specialisation as we build a team around you in due course. A few examples of initial responsibilities are:

    • Contribute to the overall product and design direction of the whole company.
    • Review customer feedback and analytics, proactively identify solutions to problems or optimisation opportunities and produce designs to support them.
    • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, clients, partners and any other stakeholders.
    • Use and evolve our internal design system.
    • Create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals for your features.
    • Build upon our design culture, and (in time) recruit and manage a design team.
    • Understand and learn from industry best practice, other tooling, current customer process and so on to simplify complex recruitment concepts and make them accessible to a wider range of organisations.

To do well in this role you’ll need to

    • Prior experience designing interactive applications. The world of design is broad, and whilst we have incredible respect for ‘traditional’ designers, we’re looking for someone who has prior experience designing complex software products for the web.
    • A passion for design. The importance of design is already heavily embedded in our culture, and we’re looking for someone who can take that and run with it – we want you to love all aspects of design, and to always be investing time in improving your design capacity.
    • Empathy for our clients / users. The best software in the world is pointless if people aren’t using it – we deal with a huge variety of clients, users, industries, geographies, etc. We like to take things back to first principles and not have too many preconceived notions when designing things, but we also need to listen (and watch) our users so we can help them help themselves. You shouldn’t be afraid of talking to clients!
    • Effective communication skills. The role is remote, and much of our existing team are remote (across a range of timezones). Quality communication skills are an absolute requirement if you want to work remotely at the pace that we do.
    • An ability to contribute to complex interaction design. Our product (and the ecosystem we operate as a whole) is now very complex, and continues grow more complex by the day – you’ll need to be comfortable understanding large scale systems, information architecture, flows and so on and designing solutions to radically streamline processes.
    • Experience working with design systems. We’ve invested heavily into a design system and want to leverage that to ensure all output across the business is consistent and of high quality. That said, our product continuously evolves, and we’re looking for someone who’ll be comfortable building upon our design system and keeping it fresh and relevant as the business continues to scale.

    Benefits

We care deeply about making Pinpoint an incredible place to work and invest a significant amount of time and energy into creating and maintaining a company culture that provides our team with a generous level of support whilst inspiring them to do their best work.

The specific benefits / perks we offer are continually evolving, but currently include:

    • Full healthcare coverage for you and your family
    • Generous personal development budget
    • Top of the line equipment (4K Monitors, MacBook Pro, etc.)
    • Flexible, remote working (choose how and where you work, within reason)
    • Competitive salary with regular pay reviews
    • Generous option grants

    Lead Product Designer

    • REMOTE – USA
    • PRODUCT – PRODUCT DESIGN
    • FULL-TIME

As a Lead Product Designer, you’ll work alongside the product team to help design the next generation of Plastiq. We are a small, multi-disciplined team looking for our newest member. We have a variety of projects in the pipeline, from adding new payment delivery methods to changing the way that businesses engage with Plastiq entirely. There are countless UX challenges and opportunities that will allow you to utilize your full range of skills showcasing product design, interaction design, and visual design. If you’re looking for a team that values the importance of design and allows you to focus your energy on creating exceptional work, we are here and cannot wait to work with you – we’d like to see if you want to to join our band.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Act as an owner and leader to advocate for design throughout the entire organization as you collaborate with other designers and teams to create the best possible outcome
    • Own the entire design process for your projects — translate research into new or iterative product ideas, create and socialize UX flows, then turn that work into high fidelity mockups ready to ship, incorporating user testing and data analytics along the way
    • Collect, encourage, and iterate on feedback from the entire organization
    • Break through the noise and bring clarity and simplicity to complicated problems
    • Sketch and appropriately prototype your ideas to quickly assess viability as you iterate on your work.
    • Go from low-fidelity to high-fidelity seamlessly with modern product design toolset
    • Work closely alongside the engineering team with product managers as they build and ship your work
    • Be willing to own the successes or failures of your work and proactively work to iterate and improve on shipped work
    • When creating or improving any feature within our application, think with patterns and systems in mind to allow our application to gracefully scale
    • Obsess and understand that the details are not the details, they are the foundation of your work and make products cohesive
    • Know that high quality final execution is what matters, and we get there as a team through collaboration

    Your Experience

    • 5+ years experience working on web or native mobile applications with recent web property experience being ideal
    • You’re a self-starter with the passion about design craft that leans into solving problems by making things, and seeks out feedback to make your work better
    • You’re incredibly well versed in creating high fidelity user interfaces from scratch and existing components, including motion design, micro-interactions, and UI behavior specs on shipping products
    • Examples of your iterative design process that incorporates data analytics and user testing; You constantly seek feedback from users, other designers and teams to validate your ideas
    • Collaboration on small and large teams, distilling feedback into cohesive high quality deliverables
    • You possess an acute inclination towards the difference between a good and bad experience for our users – and can self edit effectively
    • You work towards the best possible solution, not just the easiest one
    • You understand the nuances inherent in your work that help to improve ease of execution and overall viability
    • You’re naturally curious and relentless on your quest for knowledge
    • You’re comfortable enough with HTML/CSS/JS to understand their technical limitations and liberties to help empower our engineers
    • You’re experienced in designing products and systems, not just websites
    • You’ve had cross-device exposure with your previous work
    • You have an appreciation for the entire product design process; you’re happy, willing, and able to own projects from inception to completion
    • You’re comfortable using Figma, Sketch, Adobe’s Creative Suite, Abstract, Invision, Protopie, Principal, Flinto or other comparable prototyping tools
    • You’re an excellent communicator – whether it’s articulating your work to other designers or showcasing new features during company wide demos, you make clear, effective communication part of your process
    • You understand – and have examples of – how designers bring clarity to ambiguous problems through iterating and making things
    • Experience with onboarding, activation and growth best practices in product design is a plus
    • You understand collaboration is the key to the success or failure of your projects
    • You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Design
